SKETCH CARD PORTFOLIO
I have worked for Upper-Deck, Topps, Cryptozoic, Pastime, Leaf, and Monsterwax trading cards! My sketch cards have been included in numerous products such as: AVENGERS 2, STAR WARS, ANTMAN, GHOSTBUSTERS, PRESIDENTIAL PORTRAITS, MASTERWORKS, & more!
I love making sketch cards. Before working on a larger illustration I will draw a sketch card as a way to warm up. Other times, when I'm busier, I will make a sketch card because I know I can knock one out in a reasonable amount of time.
I also love to make sketch cards because it challegnes me. It constrains you to a tiny space and makes you think of how you are going to present an idea in a tiny space. In particular with drawing recognizable characters, a sketch card asks you how to illustrate that character with a minimal amount of detail while still making it recognizable.
